Latest Trade (6 May 2022, part 2)

Since my last update, I have made the following trade:

  1. Long S&P 500, position size $800k, profit $5.2k, intraday

Below is the screenshot I took just before I closed the trade. As usual, the realized price was slightly different from the screenshot as the price moves all the time.

This was a rebound play. S&P was down again after yesterday’s big fall, and I was betting that there would at least be a tradeable short term bounce. I was down about $3k+ for this trade before recovering from it.

This was a rare long trade for me, as I usually trade on the short side. Shorting somehow works much better for me than playing long. However, I made the trade as the opportunity seemed too good to miss. I will still stick mostly to shorting going ahead.

I have been trading since 2012, and retired from the corporate world in Dec 2021 after accumulating enough profits to feel comfortable living without a stable monthly income.
